小さなギャラリー｜My small gallery 山本千鶴は、奈良を拠点に制作する抽象画家です。 完成の姿をあらかじめ決めず、絵具を垂らしたり重ねたりしながら、その途中で現れるものを手がかりに制作しています。 雨が残した跡、苔や錆、釉薬の表面のような、人がすべてを決めたわけではないものに昔から惹かれてきました。 絵の中でも、にじみや沈殿、乾く途中に残った跡を受け取りながら、そこから次の手を探していきます。 私にとって描くことは、あらかじめある物語を伝えることよりも、まだ知らないものを見つけていくことに近いものです。 タイトルも多くの場合、完成した絵を眺め、その中に見つけた景色や存在から生まれます。 Chizuru Yamamoto is an abstract painter based in Nara, Japan. Rather than beginning with a predetermined image, I work by applying and layering paint, responding to what emerges along the way. I have long been drawn to surfaces that are not entirely shaped by human intention—traces left by rain, moss, rust, or the changing surface of ceramic glaze. In my paintings, I similarly respond to bleeding colors, sediment, and marks formed as the paint dries, allowing each discovery to guide what comes next. For me, painting is less about communicating a story that already exists and more about discovering something I did not know was there. Titles often come afterward, inspired by landscapes or presences I find within the finished work.
